ECAC Continues GuardLab Partnership for 2016-17

ECAC Continues GuardLab Partnership for 2016-17

DANBURY, Conn. September 26, 2016 -- Custom mouthguard company GuardLab continues its commitment to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for a second consecutive athletic season as announced today by the league’s rights partner, Learfield’s ECAC Sports Properties.

As “Official Partner”, GuardLab will have use of conference marks and expanded opportunities to engage with ECAC member institutions in 2016-17. In the new term, GuardLab will serve as presenting sponsor of the football page on ECACsports.com.  Additionally, GuardLab will be a presenting sponsor of a bowl game at the 2016 ECAC Division III Football Fest, and will receive in-venue signage and announcements, visibility on the streaming broadcast and on-site engagement opportunities with fans.

GuardLab uses digital scanning and 3D printing technologies for its mouthguards, engineered with a proprietary Alignment Repositioning Cushion (ARC™) to re-align the athletes jaw into its most optimum position for performance and protection.

The company’s digital scanning technology is mobile, allowing the brand to travel to ECAC schools and custom fit players in less than 20 minutes. The mouthguards can be specially designed with team colors, logos and text as well.

In addition to campus visits, GuardLab is rapidly expanding its network of certified dentists along the East Coast to service players who request a custom mouthguard fitting at any time of the year.

“We’ve enjoyed our partnership with the ECAC and its member schools, and we look forward to having a bigger presence this season and adding certified dentists in key markets to work with us,” said CEO of GuardLab, Aidan Butler. “Through our digital accuracy, the scanning process is quick, easy and putty-free, which increases comfort for the athlete and we’re able to provide personalized mouthguards with impeccable fit and protection.  A custom-fitted mouthguard can also help to reduce compliance issues during competitive play.”

GuardLab’s official partner designation also provides the company with significant presence at the Indoor and Outdoor ECAC/IC4A Track and Field Championships to be held at Boston University (March 3-5) and Princeton University (May 12-14) respectively, plus other conference special events including the ECAC Honors Dinner, ECAC Football Awards Dinner and ECAC Hall of Fame Gala.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with GuardLab for another season,” said ECAC Interim Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer John Rollins. “The safety and health of the student-athlete is of the utmost concern for us, and we are excited to help GuardLab share their expertise in this area with ECAC member schools and their student-athletes.”
