Custom Mouthguard Brand Partners with Six Time All-Star
New York, NY—March 28, 2016—GuardLab® today announced Toronto Blue Jays outfielder and six time All-Star José “Joey Bats” Bautista as a brand ambassador and the newest member of the custom mouthguard company’s elite athlete advisory board. Bautista started wearing the Lower Performance Mouthguard last year after GuardLab outfitted a number of Blue Jay players using their 3D scanning technology. The neuromuscular guards help with clench absorption, oxygen intake and stabilizing the jaw and neck muscles which supports full body alignment.
GuardLab is a custom mouthguard company using 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies, engineered with a proprietary Alignment Repositioning Cushion (ARC™). The digital accuracy coupled with neuromuscular science allows for an impeccable fit, ultimate protection, improved athletic performance, as well as bespoke personalization.
“José Bautista is an excellent ambassador for GuardLab”, GuardLab CEO, Aidan Butler said. “Having one of the most talented and respected players in professional sports represent and promote the innovative use of our performance mouthguards for baseball is very exciting for the company”.
“I never knew that a mouthguard could impact training, recovery and performance. The lower guard I wear helps me get into alignment, breathe better and create less tension throughout my body during movements.” said Bautista. “This is a piece of sports equipment that I believe in, and I'm looking forward to joining the GuardLab advisory board to advocate the use of mouthguards by baseball players and other athletes, whether professional or amateur”.
Toronto Blue Jays player José Bautista, born in the Dominican Republic, is a six time All-Star in Major League Baseball. Last season, Bautista propelled the Blue Jays to an American League Division Series win. With 286 home runs to date in his career, he was named American League Captain for the 2014 Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and that same year he received the highest number of All-Star Game votes in the Majors for the second time. Bautista created The Bautista Family Education Fund (BFEF) in 2011. The foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and assisting young amateur athletes by providing access to higher education to help them succeed both on and off the field.
